Who We Are At First Baptist Church
Bible Centered; the timeless Truths and proven principles of God's Word, form the basis and foundation of our church.
Acceptance; we offer you friendliness, openness and unconditional love. This is the place for you to be nurtured and grow spiritually
Preaching; we have an uncompromising commitment to preach God's Word in a personal and positive way. The sermons are designed to meet the needs of God's people and to provoke one to action.
Teaching and training for ministry; we encourage the active participation of every Christian in the building up of Christ's Kingdom. Relevant Bible teaching and practical training for our laity accomplish this. Our church has a very active Sunday School for all ages and everyone is excited about being an active part of their own class. Special ministries of our church are designed to meet the needs of the local community.
Inspiring Worship; each week we gather for services that reflect our heartfelt love and devotion, directed to Jesus, our Lord and Savior and friend. Our music and worship is centered on the Lord with traditional services and good Gospel music. Our Sunday evening service is devoted to praise and worship thru Gospel music and The Word. You are also likely to come and hear many of the area's best Southern Gospel groups during these times. Our Wednesday evening service is a relaxed atmosphere of Bible Study, prayer and fellowship.
Simple Structure; we are committed to find and engage the most effective ways of reaching our goal, namely: The Great Commission. While we have a good infrastructure, the main goal is obedience to God's will, conformity to His Word and leading our friends to Jesus.
Total commitment to reaching our community; our goal is to be responsive to the needs, hurts and interests of Escalon and the surrounding areas, and to share with them the loving, saving gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ.
Our main priorities are:
1. Exalt our Savior; {worship God in Spirit and in Truth}
2. Equip God's people; {Teach and Preach God's Word without compromise}
3. Evangelize our lost and dying world; {Jesus gives eternal life}
