About us - FAQ's

Welcome to the Escalon First Baptist Church website!

We are a family of believers in Jesus who offer freely to all what we have received from God: love, acceptance, forgiveness, welcome and grace. You won’t find anyone here pretending to be flawless or having all the answers. We don’t claim that we do it right all the time, nor do we pretend to be the “perfect church.” The very best we can do is point toward the One who loved us enough to become our substitute sacrifice and die in our place. In return He gives us a new life and the grace to follow Him. Together we covenant to be an authentic place to believe, to belong, and to become.  If you haven't had the chance to join us for a Sunday service, we would love to see you there! We promise you a warm welcome as a guest of our church family. If you have any questions about our church please feel free to email us by clicking here  or call the church office at (209) 838-3213

What is the worship service like?

Our Sunday morning service starts at 10:30 and lasts about an hour and fifteen minutes.  We enjoy music that enriches the worship experience - with a focus on traditional hymns, and occasionally, more contemporary praise songs. Our pastor works hard to present messages that are Bible based, have relevance to our daily lives, and help us to live out our faith every day.

What are your beliefs?

Our church is associated with the Central Valley Baptist Association and the Southern Baptist Convention.

 What do I wear?

No tie - no problem!  While some folks come to church dressed in their 'Sunday best', many come dressed casually.  We believe that God cares far more about your heart than your wardrobe.

Do I need to bring anything with me?

Our preaching and teaching is based on the Bible. If you have a Bible, great! Bring it along. It will help you to follow along during the worship service and during Bible study. If not, or if you forget to bring yours, there are Bibles available for your use.

What about child care?

We know that quality care for your children is of the utmost importance to parents when they visit Escalon First Baptist. Our goal is to provide experienced, loving care for your little ones. Nursery care is provided during our services for infants through preschool age children.
